Frequently Asked Questions 

1. What is the difference between the three categories of service you offer?

  • Category 1 is ideal if you only need well-designed drawings.

  • Category 2 ensures that your chosen contractor follows our design correctly.

  • Category 3 offers end-to-end coordination—right from contractor selection to regular site monitoring—but please note we do not provide direct build services.

2. I’m not sure which category suits me best. Can you help me decide?
Absolutely. Once we understand your needs, involvement preferences, and project scale, we can recommend the best-suited category during a quick call or meeting.

3. When should I bring you on board during my project planning?

As early as possible—even before buying the land, if possible. The sooner we are involved, the better we can guide key decisions that impact the design and construction.

4. What happens after the construction starts? Do we still interact with you?
Absolutely! Our involvement continues even after construction begins, though it varies by category:

  • Category 1: We offer support if needed, and are happy to answer occasional queries. Site visits can be arranged and are chargeable per visit.

  • Category 2: We stay in touch and schedule milestone-based site visits. We coordinate with your contractor to ensure that execution aligns with the design.

  • Category 3: We stay actively involved — conducting regular site visits (every 20 days if in Trichy), coordinating closely with the contractor, answering on-site queries, and monitoring daily updates through a WhatsApp group. This helps ensure your design is implemented just the way it was envisioned.

5. How often do you visit the site?

  • Category 1: Site visits are scheduled based on client request. 

  • Category 2: Visits are planned at milestone stages.

  • Category 3: We plan visits every 20 days (for projects in Trichy) and coordinate as needed for outstation projects. Daily site updates are monitored via WhatsApp.

6. If the build team is not the architect’s team, how do you ensure that the execution is going correctly? 

For Category 3, we conduct a thorough evaluation to suggest or appoint a contractor who aligns with our quality expectations. Before the client signs the agreement(with the contractor after finalising the design), we have detailed discussions with the contractor to communicate our design vision, walk through the drawings, and clarify execution standards. We stay actively involved throughout to ensure the work matches our intent.

7. What if I already have a contractor I trust—can I still go for Category 3?

Yes. If you have your own contractor, we can coordinate with them under Category 3. We ensure they are well-informed, align with our approach, and that the design is implemented accurately.

8. How do you ensure the design is executed properly if you are not on-site every day?

We share highly detailed drawings, have clear communication with the contractor, and schedule site visits at key milestones. For Category 3, we also monitor daily updates through a WhatsApp group to catch any deviations early.

 

9. Do you take responsibility for delays or errors during construction?

As architects, we are responsible for delivering accurate drawings and guiding execution. However, construction delays or on-site errors generally fall under the contractor’s scope unless due to design-related issues.

10. What if I live outside Trichy?

No worries at all! We work with clients across locations, and we're happy to travel to ensure the project is executed just as you envision. Travel charges for outstation sites apply, but rest assured, every visit is carefully planned to make the most of our time on-site. Plus, we’re always available for online meetings to keep things moving smoothly!

11. Do you provide construction services as well?
We do not offer direct build services. However, in Category 3, we work closely with reliable contracting teams and coordinate the entire execution process to ensure it aligns with our drawings and design intent.

12. Who applies for approvals and handles site-level permissions?
Initiating the approval process is part of the client’s scope. We provide all the necessary drawings and guidance to support the process.

13. Do you take up renovation or extension projects?
Yes, we do. The approach may vary slightly depending on the existing structure, but we apply the same rigour in design and detailing.
